Big Robot Fridge that turns Food into Gelatin

Every year, Electrolux Design Lab has a a design contest where they challenge students to come up with new home appliances.
In keeping with this year’s theme, the Second Space Age, Yuriy Dmitriev submitted the Bio Robot Fridge. This Fridge really challenges the idea of a fridge as it doesn’t even look like a refrigerator, or any other household appliance for that matter. There is no motor, no door, only a layer of gel where you put things in and keep them fresh.
Don’t ask me how this keeps things cold, or how it keeps it in there. I have never seen this substance before, but I am told that the user can take stuff out without getting any excess residue on their edibles. I am told that this leaves a smaller carbon footprint than your average refrigerator. This is still a concept for now, but it feels like the episode of The Office where Jim pranked Dwight by putting his supplies in Jello.

Reviews about Apple iPad

Apple’s iPad 2 is dramatically thinner and boasts front and rear cameras, FaceTime video chat, a faster processor, and 3G options for both AT&T and Verizon. The iPad 2 refines an already excellent product. Its easy-to-use interface, vast app catalog, and marathon battery life bolster Apple’s claim to being the king of tablets.
As manufacturers rush to capitalize on the attention given to the Apple iPad there’s seems to be a new tablet announced every week. We can’t keep track of every slate thrown into the wild, but if you’re curious to know what options are out there, we’ve compiled a general overview of the tablet landscape.
Historically, tablets running Microsoft’s Windows operating system made up the major share of the market. These include several subcategories, such as slates, convertible laptops, UMPCs, and MIDs. Windows-based tablets still thrive, especially in niche professional applications that demand the capabilities and broad software compatibility of Windows.

Apple iMac 27-inch desktop

While the new iMac’s design hasn’t changed on the outside, its internal components have been completely revamped from those of the previous model. As it upgraded its MacBook Pro laptops earlier this year, Apple has introduced to the iMac Intel’s second-generation Core CPU family (formerly code-named Sandy Bridge). It has also added AMD’s latest generation of graphics processor, the Radeon HD 6000-series. iPhone users, and those who love them, will appreciate that Apple has brought FaceTime support to the new iMac, which allows for cross-device video chatting over the Internet.
From a features standpoint, the iMac and the HP TouchSmart compare well. The large screen remains the iMac’s most obvious advantage, but it also boasts a faster graphics card and a more up-to-date CPU than the HP system. HP, in turn, offers a Blu-ray drive, a lower price tag, as well as a touch screen and HP’s accompanying suite of touch software. HP can’t match the iMac’s Thunderbolt ports, but it also offers two HDMI inputs, which means, unlike the iMac, you can connect current-generation home entertainment devices to the TouchSmart without having to buy an adapter.

My Wine List will soon be a Data Driven Web Site!

As most my readers know I also have a wine list.  It is now approaching 1000 wineries Napa and Sonoma Counties only.  I have come up with a plan to incorporate the wine list into a web site which will be for my new company California Wine Limo.  To illustrate the time and effort I have put into this business.  It will open to a main page stating what I just said with a button for Napa and one for Sonoma click a button and it opens to the districts of each county, click a district and it opens to the wineries in that district , click a winery and it opens to all the information on that winery, wines and prices.

The company will be dedicated to doing wine tours for up to 8 people and focusing on wine buyers and collectors.  Each tour will be planned for the individual and to a level that they desire.

More to follow as plans develop!

Repeat Business

I have many repeat customers one of the best I will call Ms Yo as she may not want her real name used here.

I get many women coming here for a girls day off, leave the husbands, leave the kids, have careers and want some fun with the friends.  They come to do girl stuff, not have to deal with the guys or the kids, shop, drink, eat and party!  They are women successful in their own right and want some freedom to have fun without their better half or the opinion therein, enough said!

The day started in the center of SF union square six women and the destination Napa Valley!   Ms Yo has to do all her planning why ask me  I am just the most experienced wine guide in Napa, what could I have to say?  Well Ms Yo is pretty good, except for the fact she told me she wanted Chardonnay, Napa has some good Chardonnay but the fruit all comes from the Carneros or the Russian River Valley.

Here is where we went Trefethen great Cabernet Oak Knoll district, Folie a Deux moved from North of St Helena to now next to Mustard’s between Yountville and Oakville, presently being remodeled.  Next we went to ZD this is a organic winery and they make a very good Pinot using the Hanzell Pinot clone.  Finally, finishing the day at Schramsberg the Champagne destination for the Napa Valley.

A great day and we returned to Yo’s house in the city, I can only imagine what happened next as I was off to the next job!
